The Feral Child

This picture is inspired by a a neighbors teenage son. This is him leaping though a break in a wall. a break in the wall he created after 4 hours of hitting it.

Where I live in the city many teenagers seem to have become feral. Living from moment to moment, some great anxiety and anger holds them all and they appear to be in a constant state of readiness for something? Combat or escape? I do not know, and I don’t think they do either. Why? I cannot be sure of that, but they are distressed, angry and deeply unhappy about what life brings them.

This picture was made over a year ago, and since then he has been removed from his home buy social services. I have no idea if his life has improved, but I doubt it.
